This image was heavily inspired by Wherever I Live by singer Alessia Cara, where she talks about making a home out of hotels while she travels on tour, she says “...I hang my stray hairs on the shower wall for decoration”. The scene I created used the concept of hanging stray hairs on the walls while showering, which is a sort of universal experience that also feels incredibly intimate, to decorate my home. I’m in my first few years living in a different home than my parents, so I must try and create a safe space and a home in apartments that have a lot of different quirks. The gloves on the shower caddy are sticking out, which is now a fun little shower buddy; I want to fill the spaces I’m in with creativity, which is exactly what I did in this scene.
